The Castellana Caves are a significant karst cave system located in southern Italy, near the town of Castellana Grotte in Apulia. The caves extend over 3,000 meters and reach a depth of 122 meters. Discovered in 1938, they are known for their impressive stalactites and stalagmites.

The caves were formed over 90 million years ago and were first explored by Franco Anelli in 1938. Visitors can experience the underground passageways through guided tours, which last approximately two hours.
