Schloss Linderhof is a 19th-century palace located in the municipality of Ettal in Bavaria, Germany, not Switzerland. It is part of the palaces commissioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. The palace, completed in 1878, is the smallest of his three palaces and the only one he lived to see completed.
