Constructed during the regime of Nicolae Ceaușescu, the Palace of Parliament is a significant example of totalitarian architecture. It required an extensive amount of materials, including 700,000 tons of steel and bronze and 1 million cubic meters of marble. Guided tours are available, providing access to some of its 1,100 rooms. Visitors can enter through the main entrance on Izvor Street.
