More about Caminito del Rey

The Caminito del Rey was initially built for workers at the hydroelectric plants at Chorro Falls and Gaitanejo Falls to cross between them. Reopened in 2015 after extensive renovations, it features a combination of wooden walkways and steel platforms. Visitors must book tickets in advance and wear safety helmets during the hike. The trail offers views of limestone cliffs and is accessed by a shuttle bus service from nearby parking areas.
