The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa located in a lava field in Grindavík, near Reykjavík, Iceland. Established in 1992, the lagoon has a surface area of about 8,700 square meters and is 1.2 meters deep. The water temperature averages 37–39°C, rich in silica and minerals.
