Horseshoe Bend is located in northern Arizona, United States, near the town of Page. It is part of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and features a distinctive horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River. The site is approximately 1,000 feet (300 meters) above the river.

The Horseshoe Bend overlook is accessible via a 1.5-mile round-trip hike from a parking area off U.S. Route 89. The rock formations in the area are predominantly Navajo Sandstone, dating back over 190 million years. The region is subject to extreme temperatures, with summer highs exceeding 100°F (38°C). Visitors are advised to take precautions to avoid heat-related issues.
